Leah Tal JudaicaI recently had the privilege of filming with Leah Tal—a masterful Judaica artist whose work will your heart skip a beat.
Leah paints Jewish motifs and family trees in vivid, ornate detail onto oil-painted skin drums. The results are gorgeous and quietly demanding—the kind of pieces that force you to take a deep breath and take it all in. She works out of a gorgeous studio in the Jerusalem House of Quality, overlooking the Old City and the valley beneath. What struck me most was how passionately Leah pours herself into her art. She shares a deep bond to Israel with her customers, and that shared love shines through each one of her pieces. Filming her was a reminder of why I do this work—some stories just deserve to be told. Balanced by TalyaI recently had the honor of working with Talya Dordek on a Markumentary for her business Balanced by Talya.
Talya is an expert acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine with a burning passion for improving people’s lives by healing ailments Western medicine won’t even bother to diagnose. She is particularly niched in treating women’s issues like unexplained infertility, hormonal imbalances, and irregular cycles.

Striking The
Gold Vein
Israel Vein CenterDr. Shimon Aronhime is an interventional radiologist with a gold touch. His clinic Israel Vein Center is the only vein clinic in Israel specializing exclusively in minimally-invasive treatment methods for varicose and spider veins.
After a nine-year residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, he relocated to Israel and isaw a lack of available competency and a public healthcare system that shrugs off serious vein disease as “aesthetic” issues.
A leading researcher in the field, his gold touch reaches beyond treating vein disease virtually without breaking skin to his passionate patient care. After interviewing his patients, I recall a distracted Dr. Aronhime, who—even over lunch falafel—was busy strategizing how to treat a patient with particularly delicate issues. One of his patients told me that at home, she and her husband call him “the wizard,” referring to how he’d made both their vein issues vanish in a matter of a few sessions.

Itamar FreundIsraeli content creator Itamar Freund generates views in the hundreds of thousands with his great Hebrew educational shorts about Israeli history, crafting one-take wonders that reel his viewers in for a magic carpet ride of trivia on TikTok and Instagram.
I had the pleasure of working with him on these videos about the history of Jerusalem’s “Ethiopians Street” (רח’ האתיופים), showing off his great storytelling skills and pedagogic charm.
